Grand Opening of the Naval Special Warfare Foundation Heritage Center

Thank you to a naval special warfare unit “SEALS” for going over 100 racks and threatening to order more.
They have asked for a national stock number for the racks, and that is pending with the navy supply system and they are working on it.
The great thing about this unit is that they have very few 55 horsepower multi fuel engines – they are trying to keep the 55 horsepower carburated engines running, so almost all of those racks hold old 30 and 55 horsepower carburated engines.
When the chief petty officer was trying to justify spending $4,000 on a rack, and a junior officer was giving him a hard time, since 15 years ago those engines cost less than that rack, the chief explained to him and the commodore that the carburated engines are not produced anymore because they’re not clean enough for the EPA, and a new 55 is about $15,000, but when the 55 carburated or the 30 get busted up, normally in transit, the price to replace those is priceless, and the commadore said, “give him the money.”
So we thank you very much, and what I want to bring to everyone’s attention is that the great thing about these racks is, they will work on the old engines you’re trying to keep alive, but when new engines are procured, they’ll fit in there too – Anything under 65 horsepower, 2-strokes will fit in these racks.

Last week while visiting our friends at Evinrude, I was introduced to Justin Antolini – the “FNG”, who will be the new Evinrude Rep. in the Southeast, for State & Lower Government, Federal non DOD & DHS.

I will not be attending the OCB show. I had an accident and I ate a box of twinkles that got mixed in with fish food ice cream and now my hips are bigger then Scriven’s head!
I will be preparing for a two shows in October: one in Baltimore, MD on October 9th and another one in Washington DC, on October 23rd.
I hope all my coastie friends and navy friends will come see me in the DC show. More details to follow soon. So mark your calendars!

A Jackie Post: Scriven is preparing for cirque du soleil!

Hes trying to do shoulder presses. This was sooo frikin funny I laughed so hard my knees hurt! I think he is one sandwich short of a picnic!
